Justin Burleson Joins SPIRE as Chief Operating Officer

Justin Burleson has joined SPIRE Credit Union as Senior Vice President, Chief Operating Officer. A former Supervisory Examiner for the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), the agency that insures deposits at federally insured credit unions, protects its members, and regulates federal credit unions. He will oversee Risk Management, Security, Human Resources, and Facilities for SPIRE. 

Justin was hired by the NCUA in 2005 as a Credit Union Examiner, and rapidly advanced his career to Real Estate Analyst, then Problem Case Office for NCUA Region IV, and in 2011 was promoted to Supervisory Examiner in Minnesota. In that role, he supervised 10 Minnesota- and North Dakota-based examiners, spanning responsibility for 135 credit unions. 

Born and raised in Beaumont, TX, Justin graduated in from Lamar University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics. He is also a graduate of the USDA Executive Leadership Program and the NCUA Executive Training Program. Justin has been married to Stacy Enmon Burleson for 14 years, and they 
are proud parents of two young daughters. In his spare time, Justin is an avid golfer in the state of Minnesota qualifying for, and winning several state-wide amateur events.
