SPIRE’s Core Action is to “Give Back” and every member of the SPIRE Team is involved in making that happen! As part of our 52 in ’22 initiative, each week in 2022, a different SPIRE department or branch selected a Minnesota non-profit to receive a $1,000 donation.

One organization chosen was the White Bear Area Food Shelf, selected by SPIRE’s Vadnais Heights branch. “Contributions to the food shelf are down thirty percent and the need for food assistance has increased by thirty-two percent,” wrote Perry Petersen, Executive Director of White Bear Area Food Shelf, after being notified of the donation. “This contribution will help a lot for the 1,792 families our programs serve monthly.”

In total, SPIRE donated $52,000 to 52 organizations that supported a wide array of causes and varied in size, scope, and location. What tied them together is that each organization was selected because it was important to SPIRE employees.
