In an effort to continue living out our core action of giving back, SPIRE is proud to once again partner with Salvation Army North on their “2 Million Pound” Food Drive this March. Donations of non-perishable food items can be dropped off at all SPIRE branches during open lobby hours.
SPIRE will also be matching up to $5,000 in donations made by SPIRE members who use NetGiver to give to charities supporting hunger relief efforts during the month of March. To qualify for the match, both the member donating and the non-profit must be registered with NetGiver. The maximum match per donation is $250.
These past few years have been difficult for many families and individuals, with food insecurity rising significantly due to the pandemic. By serving as a food collection site, SPIRE is helping to provide relief to families struggling with rising food costs and supply chain issues. The goal of the food drive is to collect two million pounds of food to help support the one in nine Minnesotans who struggle with food insecurity.
Items will be collected through March 31. Find a branch location near you or learn about NetGiver.
