SPIRE's Matt Meyers is Midway Chamber Volunteer of the Year

Matt Meyers, SPIRE PACE Lender and Senior Commercial Credit Analyst, was named the winner of the Midway Chamber of Commerce "Volunteer of the Year" Award at the organization's annual gala earlier this year.

The Volunteer of the Year Award is presented annually to a Chamber member for their commitment, dedication, leadership, and exceptional volunteer service on behalf of the Midway Chamber of Commerce. The Midway Chamber supports businesses in the Midway area of St. Paul.

Meyers is a current Midway Chamber Board Member, beginning his leadership role in 2014 and  serving as Treasurer and Executive Committee Member from 2015-2021.

"As Treasurer, (Matt) takes the time and asks the right questions to ensure the board and Chamber are successful," said Chad Kulas, Midway Chamber Executive Director. "This was particularly valuable as the Chamber navigated the unprecedented challenges brought on by the pandemic. Matt really does care about making a difference."

Meyers also serves on the Chamber's Golf Committee, helping plan one of the organization's most important fundraisers.

"On behalf of everyone at SPIRE, I'd like to congratulate Matt on this outstanding recognition," said Dan Stoltz, SPIRE President/CEO. "At SPIRE, we encourage our staff to give back to the community, and we are proud of Matt for all of the work that he has done to help the Midway Chamber flourish."

Meyers joined SPIRE as an employee in 2016. Outside of his volunteer work with the Midway Chamber, he has served as treasurer of his children's school's PTO and member of his church council, among others. He enjoys volunteering and participating in various community and SPIRE sponsored events.
